Old school light bulbs or LEDs?

It’s very obvious that for the correct “charm”, the lights on the car need to be old school to look period correct. So the headlights are definitely not changing. But what about the taillights? What about all the interior lights?

I was working on the car, and left one of the doors open for a few hours with the battery on. I noticed a slight plastic smell so looked around. I noticed that the two B-pillar light covers were melting and turning brown! I quickly turned off the battery and let them cool down. Luckily, replacement original style plastic covers are easy to come by, so I purchased two. But I didn’t want this to happen again, so I researched LED fixtures shaped like the original 1156 bulbs, with the correct yellowish color to replicate the original light bulbs. I didn’t want bright bluish LED lights in there. I was able to find 3000K soft warm white LEDs and put them in for both B-pillar lights as well as the dome light. Drastically less heat and they look exactly the same. I also purchased 1157 style bulbs for the taillight with both dim and bright capability, but in red just to help make the taillights as bright red as possible.
